Mr. Gantt is an adult Black Belt at Azad's Martial Arts Family Center in Chico California. Mr. Gantt has been a martial arts student of Chief Master Azad for over 15 years now. His journey of martial arts has been a journey of overcoming personal obstacles as a child and then a teenager to an adult. Mr. Gantt examplifies what is considered to be a successful martial arts student. He is currently an assistant instructor at Azad's Martial Arts Family Center. In this video he is performing a traditional Okinawan weapon called Nunchaku (Chucks).

Students of Azad's Martial Arts Family Center learn how to get in the best shape of their life as well as effective self defense techniques through the movements and techniques of martial arts as taught by Chief Master Farshad Azad.

In this video students practice various techniques against a number of different knife attacks. Currently Hapkido is recognized as the most practical method of personal protection. Chief Master Azad has taught similar techniques to various law enforcement agents at local, state, national and international levels. Hapkido is also the art of choice when it comes to training Secret Service Agents, Personal body guards, Executive Protection Specialists, Air Marshalls, United States Marshalls, F.B.I, and various military units. Sinmoo Hapkido is now one of the fastest growing forms of martial arts being taught in more than 80 different countries under the supervision of Dojunim Ji Han Jae, the late Bruce Lee's instructor. Master Azad is a Vice President of the World Hapkido Association and one of Dojunim's representatives in the United States of America.

At Azad's we believe that children should have tons of fun learning martial arts. Master Azad has been teaching children since 1978. The children programs at Azad's are second to none. Each class is filled with action packed martial arts work out, as well as an educational component to teach life skills to children of all ages. Each child learns the best qualities of martial arts so they can be as strong and positive minded as they can ever be in their life. Life skills are the corner of stone of Azad's Martial Arts character education martial arts classes. These life skills include topics such as focus, paying attention, respecting others, following parent's teachings, attending to their tasks on their own, applying themselves in school and increasing their grades, be fair players, be aware of their environment and the dangers in it just to name a few.

The Glow Chuck Seminar is a class that is a ton of fun for kids. But the best part is that children learn to apply their focus to the task at hand and consequently add another way they can concentrate on what they need to do.

We love seeing kids have fun and learn traditional martial arts weapon to increase their concentration, physical abilities, and over all way they face defeat or mistakes. Azad's Martial Arts teaches kids to learn excellent work ethics and great sportsmanship. We specially love it when kids make mistakes but they don't make a huge deal about it and still show great effort in learning and overcoming physical or mental challenges to achieve their goals. We are proud of each and everyone of our students for their enthusiasm about our classes and their great fun energy in classes!

Chief Master Azad teaching Sinmoo Hapkido in Iran to Men and Women

Chief Master Azad has been training and teaching various forms of martial arts for the past 37 years. Kwanjanim Azad and Grandmaster Ji Han Jae were invited to teach Sinmoo Hapkido in Iran to hundreds of enthuiastic and talented martial artists in Iran. This is part of the warm up in the demonstration held in honor of their arrival in Iran by Hapkido students. Hundreds of students received the group with open arms and an amazing welcoming spirit. Dojunim Ji Han Jae said to Chief Master Azad he has never felt so welcomed in a country by martial arts students. Dojunim Ji Han Jae was the late Bruce Lee's instructor and he was received as such in Iran also.
